What the Blog!

Somehow, I’ve managed to mess up my web site.  All of my pictures have disappeared, but only on my computer. So today’s blog will have no picture. I will have a web site with boring blogs until I figure out what I did and how to fix it. Some of us just aren’t cut out for anything more advanced than an electric mixer.  That’s me. The electric mixer in a world of advanced technology. I bet I’m the only one still wearing an apron in the kitchen too! Well, some of us get food all over the place when cooking and unfortunately, that would be me. A kitchen slob, but a reasonably good cook so who cares?

Regardless to all of the above, what really counts is that there are only 16 days left in the count down to Mexico! Yes! I’m on schedule with only 6 pounds to go. I know I can do it! Even if I have to wire my jaw shut or have Patrick drop me off 50 miles away from home, I’ll diet and exercise my way to my goal. The thing is, if I don’t make it, I don’t get to board the plane. That’s right – they’ll all go without me. So, as you can see, I absolutely have no choice in the matter.

I’ve had writers block for a few days. I hate it when that happens. I spent hours in front of the computer yesterday, picture-less and depressed because my brain left for vacation early.  It still has 16 days to go, but try telling that to a shut down computer that has a mind of it’s own! I’m hoping for a little more productivity today, but time will tell. It’s early still!

Have a good day,

Later,

Mary Ann

Everything is getting soggy. Even my dogs are squishy, ring-me-out, soggy. Have you walked across your lawn lately? Don’t do it. You could drown out there or sink down in mud so deep you’ll never be seen again.  It’s like the quick sand in those old Tarzan movies where some guy on safari has fallen in….

The dreaded Muffin Top is back!!! It’s not just that the darn thing is here again and billowing over the top of my jeans, it’s the fact that I have only 28 days to lose it before going to Mexico! So, without revealing my weight, because that’s way too scary, I’ll  let you know that…

The roller coaster of life continues. Ever notice how the nice, peaceful, contented times last for such a short stretch? Like sometimes as little as an hour or two? • Second Time Around

Sad to say, but there were many things I was looking forward to not having to do after the kids grew up, such as standing out in the wind and pounding rain watching softball or football, or whatever it was. And as much as we all pretended to love squeezing one more thing into frantic…

  1. I love it…you are an electric mixer and you wear an apron. I’ve never worn an apron and my cooking skills are lame, so are you saying an apron might help? For real..you wouldn’t get on the plane if you were a pound shy? I know you’ll make your goal, you can do it all, cook, write and lose weight. Mexico here you come…bravo to you.
